The specialization of Dall’Era Valerio in hot forging of non-ferrous materials

26 February 2021 -

The total control of the supply chain allows Dall’Era Valerio to supervise from the hot forging of brass and other non-ferrous materials to the turning of the products.

The specialization of Dall’Era Valerio in hot forging of non-ferrous materials

The specialization of Dall’Era Valerio in hot forging of non-ferrous materials is a consolidated reality. The growth of the company on the main international markets in the last 20 years has been characterized by important investments in the field of hot forging of brass and other non-ferrous materials. A production technology level among the highest in Italy to meet the needs of international customers. A research of solutions that sees the Dall’Era Valerio Group engaged in a constant improvement of the production, in particular in the implementation of the finished part quality, also with positive effects on the environment.

Capacities from 250 to 700 tn for hot forging of non-ferrous materials

The excellent technological level is guaranteed by induction furnaces, robotized machines and presses with capacities from 250 to 700 tn. In particular, the machine park is equipped with Hatebur stamping islands, which express a working capacity of up to 200 strokes per minute. Highly technological machinery, able to work quickly and with a reliability recognized worldwide. Prerogative of Hatebur is also the constant quality on very high numbers of pieces produced.

The Machine Park for Hot Forging of Non-Ferrous Materials

The machine park dedicated to hot forging of non-ferrous materials includes 7 Hatebur, 11 machines for traditional forging, 3 blanking islands, 1 furnace for heat treatments and 2 sandblasting machines. The construction of the moulds is carried out internally with particular attention to the quality standards and the specific request of the customer. The CAD-CAM system and the 3D mechanical design are managed by the technical department for a full control of the design of each single piece. Moreover, the forging process is verified by the presence of the FORGE software, which simulates the process before it is started. The molding simulation is a preventive activity that identifies possible cracks and failures.

The advantages of hot forging of non-ferrous materials

Hot stamping ensures that components with high mechanical properties are obtained. It is a process known to produce stronger components than those obtained through other methods. In fact, an increase in the strength and resistance of the product is achieved. Hot stamping of materials such as brass and non-ferrous is applied to a multitude of sectors and products. They range from valves to boilers, from refrigeration systems to heating, from the pneumatic sector to the automotive industry, just to name a few.
